The Credentialing Specialist provides full support for the credentialing activities of all PHMC and affiliate employees. The specialist will work closely with a third party administrator to process the initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications, in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
Review credentialing files, obtain all primary source verifications.
Assist in the preparation of the employee files in accordance to company and regulatory standards.
Assist in the preparation of employee files for regulator and internal audits
Assist with filing and Data Entry
Must have good written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, excellent time-management skills, and interpersonal skills

Must possess sound judgment, planning, and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn quickly, adapts to changes, and manages multiple priorities
Qualifications:
Knowledge of regulatory guidelines. Knowledge of Joint Commission and other regulatory bodies considered a plus
Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
Flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to interact with various internal and external stakeholders (client, state agencies, providers, etc.)
Excellent PC skills with demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Package
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Education:
Post High school education preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of two years of relevant experience preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting or credentialing agency.
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
