The Business Partner is a trusted partner that works collaboratively with a cluster of member agencies to achieve Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC) goals. The Business Partner will serve as a member of the Human Resources team providing a wide range of human resources services to a variety of internal clients with dissimilar clients and goals. The Business Partner will serve as internal consultant to management team, supervisors and employees on human resources issues that affect performance and business relationships. The Business Partner is responsible for managing a broad array of human resources programs including on and off - boarding of employees, employee relations, performance management and talent assessment, salary, compensation, job evaluations, benefits, promotions, equal opportunity initiatives, and education and training. The Business Partner is responsible for ensuring that PHMC is in compliance with local, state and federal regulations to include FLSA, FMLA, OSHA, EEO and Wage and Hour.
Job Requirements:
Six or more years of HR generalist experience in a high volume, fast paced professional services organization with 2600+ employees serving multiple sites
Ability to provide policy guidance and an understanding of HR Law
Solid customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with employees as well as senior level management
Applied experience in a broad range of employee-related programs, including employee relations, policy administration, performance management, organizational effectiveness, benefits administration, compensation, and salary planning
Experience consulting with managers and the ability to provide candid and direct feedback
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment and support senior level initiatives
Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to effectively explain issues, express opinions, ask questions, actively listen, and consider alternative ideas
Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational agility
Strong training facilitation skills
Demonstrated ability to deliver results and problem-solve while working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to remain flexible and shift priorities quickly
MS Word, Power Point and Excel, intermediate to advance skills
Qualifications:
At least a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related academic field
Minimum of six (6) years experience, including supervision
Knowledge of HR Project Management Required
PHR Preferred
Must be willing and able to travel periodically within the City of Philadelphia
