The Joseph J. Peter’s Institute, a nationally recognized provider serving children, adolescents and adult survivor of trauma as well as perpetrators of sexual abuse and domestic violence, seeks a Senior Clinician and Project Coordinator of the Youth Safety and Responsibility Program. The senior clinician/project coordinator of YSRP maintains a caseload, provides supervision to staff and students, oversees administrative and clinical duties in the YSRP, and works on program development to support and improve the financial health of the agency. This position reports to the Coordinator of Safety and Responsibility Programs.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest quality clinical services to all clients of JJPI.
  • Develop and maintain clinical utilization of 16 face-to-face hours
  • Attend clinical meetings and scheduled supervisions as required
  • Provide 24 hours a week in coordinating, supervision and delivery of services at YSRP and 16 hours providing services and supervision at Survivor Services as assigned by the Coordinators of SRP and SS.
  • Manage and oversee the YSRP court dates and clinician’s court letters.
  • Review and finalize all clinician court letters before sending to court.
  • Maintain clinical records in accordance with agency, managed care, and licensing requirements.
  • Seek out appropriate professional training.
  • Supervise at least one master’s level student in training
  • In conjunction with the Coordinator of SRP, lead group consultation for YSRP
  • Assist in developing training programs for other staff.
  • Conduct Resiliency reviews for staffing and discharge planning in YSRP
  • Assist in developing and implementing new, innovative treatment strategies.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with other agencies.
  • Will complete Initial Resiliency Plan Review within the first two visits of client contact.
  • Complete updated treatment/resiliency plans every 15th session or 90 days.
  • Complete progress notes within 24 hours of session with client.
  • Follow up appropriately with clients who have missed a session.
  • Complete discharge summary within 7 days of termination date.
  • Complete and provide statistical reports (case management and clinical hours) at the end of each week/pay period.
  • Provides Evaluations to YSRP participants
  • Provide evidenced based practices to YSRP and Survivor Services’ participants
  • Provide MSE & Clinical Formulation for CBE’s in the YSRP as needed
  • Attend court for specific cases as requested
  • Supervise Saturday morning clinic in the supervisor’s rotation 5-6 times a calendar year
  • Supervise SRP clinic, one evening during the week
  • Assist in on-call rotation with JJPI supervisors throughout the year (a week at a time)

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Supervises clinicians and students performing clinical and screenings
  • In coordination with the SRP coordinator, manage the YSRP waitlist
  • In coordination with the SRP coordinator, lead YSRP group consultation
  • Coordinates the timely and accurate submission of YSRP court letters and other documentation.
  • Assist in developing training programs for other staff.

ORGANIZATIONAL Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively with other staff and contribute to the development of a team approach to treatment.
  • Provide input into new programs and work to implement more effective methods of delivering services.
  • Understand and communicate with other programs within the agency and work to foster a collaborative team approach across all programs.

FINANCIAL Responsibilities:

  • Understand the impact of the caseload requirements on the financial performance of the agency.
  • Understand the payment source of each client.
  • Complete all forms required for submission of bills for services in a timely manner.
  • Work with other staff to develop new treatment programs to promote the financial performance of the agency.

Marketing:

  • Promote the agency in interactions with other agencies and professionals.
  • Participate in market planning for the agency as required.

Education Requirement:

  • A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in a field related to clinical work.
  • License in Psychology or Social Work (LCSW) or Counseling Psychology (LPC) a must.
  • A Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing treatment to adolescents with sexually inappropriate behaviors
  • A Minimum of 1 year treating adults and adolescents who have experienced trauma
  • Training in evidence-based practice a must.
