Job Description

He/She interacts with all PRK and ELRC staff; as well as practitioners, contractors and other community partners and collaborates so as to enhance services to early care and education providers. This position is full-time 100% FTE. The position operates from PHMC’s main offices at 1500 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA though this position requires travel throughout Delaware, Philadelphia, Chester, Bucks and Montgomery counties, and occasional travel to Harrisburg. This position also requires a current driver’s license and a dependable, fully insured vehicle. This position includes the normal physical demands with work in an office environment, including lifting, bending, and carrying. This position may require a work schedule outside of the typical work week, including nights and weekends. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight to all functions of the Pennsylvania Professional Development Registry
  • Oversee intake, case assignment, data management and outcomes reporting for ECE providers requesting STARS Technical Assistance, Child Care Health Consultation and Infant Toddler support.
  • Provide Technical Assistance consultation to programs suspended in Keystone STARS.
  • Support coordination of Certification Referrals
  • Report on trends and make recommendations to improve efficiency and strengthen TA and support services.
  • Support scheduling and document PD/TA meetings.
  • Support, development and implementation of communication strategies to assure that early learning practitioners are aware of professional development, technical assistance, and funding opportunities available through Keystone STARS.
  • Maintain up-to-date information on all professional development and technical assistance activities in the region (including those not funded by the SERK).
  • Support, update/maintain organizational promotional materials including brochures, flyers, e-newsletter and website;
  • Conduct outreach to ensure that providers, consumers, businesses, and policy makers in the region are familiar with Keystone STARS and the regional quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with PHMC Communications staff on the development of promotional materials, website, press releases, etc.
  • Facilitate periodic meetings with stakeholders in and out of the region.
  • Participate in statewide systems-building activities related to TA, PA Promise, LEARN and other STARS supports.
  • Attend community meetings, conferences, and workshops to present information when needed.
  • Support PD team in planning and implementing PD conferences and special events;
  • Create event promotion and marketing tools.
  • Support PHMC in business development and fundraising activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Experience:

  • Knowledge of coaching and professional development practices, ECE preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Three to five years of related experience, including use/management of databases.

 Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

Salary:

  • Commensurate with education and experience.
