The Joseph J. Peters Institute is a nationally recognized provider serving adult survivors and perpetrators of sexual abuse seeks a partial hospital therapist to work with adult men with severe mental illness who have a history of sexual acting out behaviors Must provide the highest quality clinical services, develop and implement innovative groups, and maintain a full caseload. This position reports to the Program Director.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the highest quality clinical services to all participants at JJPI.
- Develop and maintain a caseload according to agency expectations.
- Attend clinical meetings and scheduled supervision and provide supervisors with audio or videotaped samples of sessions as required.
- Provide comprehensive case management services to clients and act as a liaison to other agencies as required.
- Maintain clinical records in accordance with agency, managed care, and licensing requirements.
- Seek out professional training and assist in developing training programs for other staff.
- Assist in developing and implementing new, innovative treatment strategies and groups.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with other agencies.
- Complete Intake Assessment and develop treatment plan the first day of the participant’s admission to the Partial Program.
- Complete updated treatment plans every twenty visits or every 30 days.
- Complete progress notes daily
- If the participant does not contact the therapist when absent, the therapist will contact the participant within 24 hours of the missed day.
- Complete discharge summary within 15 days of discharge.
- Complete monthly summaries within seven days of the first of the month, as well as any other monthly reports.
Organizational Responsibilities:
- Work effectively with other staff and contribute to the development of a team approach to treatment.
- Provide input into new programs and work to implement more effective methods of delivering services.
- Understand and communicate with other programs within the agency and work to foster a collaborative team approach across all programs.
- All other duties required performing my duties as a Partial therapist.
Marketing Responsibilities:
- Promote the agency in interactions with other agencies and professionals.
- Participate in market planning for agency as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to clinical work.
- Two years experience in the field of mental health, or criminal justice.
Certification, License, or Other Required Qualifications:
- If PA licensed, must be in good standing.
Salary:
- Commensurate with education and experience.
