Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the highest quality clinical services to all participants at JJPI.
  • Develop and maintain a caseload according to agency expectations.
  • Attend clinical meetings and scheduled supervision and provide supervisors with audio or videotaped samples of sessions as required.
  • Maintain clinical records in accordance with agency, managed care, and licensing requirements.
  • Seek out professional training and assist in developing training programs for other staff.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new, innovative treatment strategies and groups.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with other agencies.
  • Complete Intake Assessment and develop treatment plan the first day of the participant’s admission to the Partial Program.
  • Complete updated treatment plans every twenty visits or every 30 days.
  • Complete progress notes within 7 days of rendered services.
  • If the participant does not contact the therapist when absent, the therapist will contact the participant within 24 hours of the missed day.
  • Complete discharge summary within 7 days of discharge.
  • Complete monthly summaries within seven days of the first of the month, as well as any other monthly report.
  • Oversees schedule

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet timelines
  • Ability to communicate in writing and orally.
  • Good Analytical and troubleshooting skills

Experience:

  • One year experience as a therapist working in the field of mental health. Preference for individuals who have worked with the Severely Mentally Ill (SMI) population and/or adults with sexual acting out behaviors.

Education Requirement:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to clinical work.

 Salary:

  • Commensurate with education and experience.
