Job Description

Job Overview:

The Nurse Training Manager will provide clinically-informed, practical, training and educational services on behalf of NNCC programs to a diverse mix of stakeholders. The Nurse Training Manager collaborates with educational project partners, including NNCC staff, subcontractors, professional/clinical associations, federal funders, and clinical practices to develop training and educational programs that incorporate principles of nursing. The Nurse Training Manager will support monitoring and evaluation of project outcomes (clinical, process, and otherwise) and identify areas for improvement, best practices, and potential programming opportunities. This position will represent NNCC at various educational and coalition activities. This position does not involve budget oversight or direct supervision at this time, but may in the future. The position reports to the Director of Practice Transformation and Quality Improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Working across NNCC programs on clinical content and evaluation for programs where needed using clinical expertise and prior background in healthcare service delivery to inform content development;
  • Maintaining relationships and serving as the direct contact for training and educational partners;
  • Managing, tracking, and reporting on training and education deliverables;
  • Engaging NNCC communities of training stakeholders, including members, clinicians, FQHC staff, and PA-based advocates;
  • Marketing of NNCC training services and its assets to stakeholders and members;
  • Supporting clinical aspects of grant reports and applications;
  • Developing clinically based evaluation materials to measure impact of training assets and deliverables;
  • Analysis of evaluation data generated internally by training staff and received externally by project partners;
  • Developing educational and training programming aligned with their clinical expertise and NNCC goals and aims;
  • Delivering trainings in support of NNCC initiatives;
  • Working closely with NNCC’s Chief Nurse Practitioner Officer to coordinate delivery of clinical training services and identify programming opportunities centered around the principles of nursing;
  • Travel as necessary to training and other NNCC events; and
  • Maintaining clinical licensure and board certification.

  • Understanding of program evaluation methodology
  • Experience delivering training to adult learners
  • Background knowledge of FQHCs and health care issues
  • Experience utilizing project management tools
  • Proficiency with standard office software programs

 Experience:

  • At least three years of nursing experience in clinical practice with some experience in clinical quality improvement, grants management, public health, or related area. Demonstrated experience in clinical practice settings (e.g., nonprofit, outpatient/inpatient)

 Education Requirement:

  • Bachelors of Nursing Science required.
  • Training in public health, health administration, education, or other related fields, preferred.
  • Maintain an active nursing license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
