Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain a standard departmental workstation image. The image should be updated regularly and applied to incoming and replaced machines.
  • Desktop support services via the SysAid/help desk incident and request management system. Use remote sessions and desktop visits if necessary to meet departmental operational requirements in several PDPH divisions. Escalate incidents to 2nd and 3rd tier support by properly documenting the troubleshooting methods attempted and reasons for escalation.
  • Plan and participate in departmental equipment rollout and application related upgrade projects. This would include tasks associated with standard processes such as imaging, equipment tagging, software/equipment modification, testing, documentation and problem resolution.
  • Provide troubleshooting, computer installation, relocation and removal processes throughout the various PDPH facilities when necessary.
  • Provide network printer, peripheral and mobile device installation, testing troubleshooting and removal efforts.
  • Work with department staff to maintain IT inventory.
  • Work to assist program staff in procurement of IT hardware and software needs.
  • Lead or support other projects or work as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Associate degree is preferred, however, high school diploma and previous experience may substitute.

SALARY:

  • Commensurate with education and experience.
