Responsibilities:

Primary:  

  • Responsible for daily meal preparation and cleanliness of kitchen

Specific:

  • Manage and prepare food for 3 meals a day
  • Responsible for all cleanliness of kitchen.  Students can assist with this.
  • Participate in quality management reviews in order for kitchen to pass all inspections.
  • Shop for food at BJ’s and Restaurant Depo and order some online.
  • Work closely with Operations Director to maintain program’s food quality.
  • Organize and manage refrigeration and dry stock.
  • Work hours are approximately 8:30-5:00 Mon-Fri

Requirements:

  • Experience working in kitchen
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of alcoholism and substance use and other addictions with particular awareness of the needs of adolescents is a plus.
  • Safe Serve Certified or ability to obtain this

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

  • This position is classified as salaried non-exempt in accordance to FLSA standards.
