Job Overview:

  • This position is an essential component of the CUA prevention team and ensures safety and organization for clients and staff participating in visits and/or meetings at CUA 9.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the CUA Prevention Team at the direction of the CUA 9 Community Liaison.
  • Escort families from the front door to visit or meeting room.
  • Continually walk around the building (3901 Market Street), ensuring that visits and meetings are safe and appropriate.
  • If the participants of a visit or meeting become volatile, step into the room and attempt to deescalate the situation.
  • Escort adult clients out of the building if they refuse to behave appropriately.
  • Walk through CUA 9 (3901 Market Street) at the end of the day, ensuring that lights are turned off, doors are closed, etc.
  • Take trash from the room to the kitchen area; wipe down tables, vacuum floors as necessary.
  • Willing to work non-traditional hours- approximately 12pm to 8pm Tuesday-Saturday.

Experience:

  • Experience working with children and families preferred. Experience working in security or in potentially volatile situations a plus.

Education Requirement:

  • High School Diploma or GED. An appropriate Associates Degree can substitute for experience.
  • Waivers of the above may be requested of the Department on a case by case basis with appropriate documentation and rationale.

Salary:

  • Commensurate with education and experience.
