REPORTS TO: Treatment Court Case Management Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide assistance to the Treatment Court Case Management Supervisor in order to provide optimal case management support and work within the Fee for Service guidelines as outlined by CBH.  Provide direct supervision of Treatment Court Peer Recovery Specialists, Administrative Assistant position, and in some cases case managers ensuring comprehensive and quality service provision is delivered to program participants.

 Responsibilities:  

  • Assist Case Management Supervisor (CMS) in daily operations and administration of the Philadelphia Treatment Court (PTC) Case Management Unit serving as the formal contact in the absence of the supervisor. This includes leading Case Management Unit during weekly court hearing.
  • Provide support, training, and supervision to the CMU Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) and Administrative Assistant (AA) positions. Maintain relationships with PRS support services such as Pro-Act.
  • Conduct projects and activities as assigned by the CM Supervisor.
  • Support CM Supervisor in maintenance of effective relationships with treatment provider agencies, funding sources, and legal partners.
  • Assist in unit-wide training for all positons in the CMU. Attend and co-facilitate group supervisions when appropriate.
  • Conduct chart audits as assigned by CM Supervisor to ensure compliance with Forensic Services, managed care, and licensing requirements. Attend Case Review (HOLDS) meetings as scheduled.
  • Submit statistical information as required by supervisor.
  • Participate in bi-weekly supervision meetings.
  • Assist CM Supervisor in the interview process for PRS and AA positions.
  • Conduct field visits/observations on a regular basis; as well as monitoring PRS field schedules.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and implement staff development activities for direct reports.
  • Maintain PAJCIS and CRS database compliance and accountability with current participant information.
  • Assist in establishing and maintain policies and procedures related to the case management process mapping).
  • Provide monthly reports or information to complete as needed.

 SKILLS:

  • Must have experience in case management service provision, chemical dependency, substance abuse treatment, recovery supports, mental health, and/or work with criminal justice populations.
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Must be willing to present cases in court.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in direct case management service with chemically dependent and mental health criminal justice population.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining departmental policies and procedures
  • 3 plus years job related experience.
  • Work as a team lead, coordinator or other leadership responsibility preferred
  • Fee For Service experience, preferably in case management or behavioral health a plus

 EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

SALARY:

  • Commensurate with education and experience.
