The Public Health Project Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of a national cooperative agreement, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, to build and reinforce vaccine confidence among nursing providers, non-clinical health center staff, and the patient community. This position will coordinate webinar planning and execution, recruit speakers, training attendees and consultants, and provide data entry assistance towards tracking deliverables and monitoring performance measures. This position will work closely with the Nurse Training Manager to support the development of training content. In addition, this position will coordinate with the project’s communications team to disseminate federal guidance, clinical guidelines, and information pertaining to COVID-19 vaccination administration, storage and handing, reporting, and patient education, among other topics. This position reports directly to the Director of Public Health Programs. The portfolio of projects may be subject to change as projects evolve and/or new funding opportunities arise.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate –administrative, programmatic, and grant management activities of public health project(s). Act as a direct liaison with project partners and other critical stakeholders. Ensure all reporting requirements are met. Adhere to program policies and procedures. Work with supervisor to create and manage service provider contracts to ensure contractual deliverables are met. Provide support for invoicing and financial accounting processes in coordination with the Director of Public Health Programs. Coordinate with training speakers to collect presenter information and submit continuing education applications for the trainings offered. Work collaboratively with program staff as well as interns. Provide support for grant applications as needed. Aid with side projects as needed. Ensure program quality.

Scope of Work:

  • Support Nurse Training Manager and Director of Public Health Programs with execution of project deliverables including ongoing updates, meeting logistics, webinar planning, and recruitment of speakers and participants.
  • Support Nurse Training Manager and Director of Public Health Programs with content development and delivery of webinars, peer learning collaboratives, and other T/TA activities.
  • Monitor milestones and due dates for project deliverables, including but not limited to:
    • Coordinate with project team to disseminate guidance, clinical guidelines, and best practices to build trust in healthcare providers and the COVID-19 vaccines through multiple modalities, e.g., blog posts, podcast, social media, newsletters, and YouTube.
    • Advise and assist in the content development of webinars for an audience of diverse nursing stakeholders, occurring every other week.
    • Assist in the content development of multi-session learning collaboratives, including utilizing the ECHO peer-learning format.
    • Support the planning, outreach, and recruitment of nursing providers and patients/community members for focus groups and key informant interviews (to be conducted by research team).
  • Support Vaccine Confidence Advisory Committee (VCAC), responsibilities include:
    • Attend monthly committee meetings.
    • Draft and disseminate agenda, take meeting notes, and share notes with Committee post-meeting.
    • Develop bi-weekly email project updates to Committee members.
    • Coordinate engagement with VCAC subcommittees.
  • Prepare agenda for recurring NNCC project team meetings
    • Draft and disseminate agenda, take meeting notes, and share notes with team post-meeting.
  • Recruit speakers and coordinate webinar speaker engagement, webinar development, CE credits process, logistics, and registration link setup.
  • Recruit and coordinate speaker engagement for podcast episodes, blog posts, and other forums.
  • Coordinate with members of NNCC’s communications team and the research and evaluation team to regularly review and guide updates to the NNCC website with COVID-19 education and resources.
  • Support contracts management and invoice submission and tracking via PHMC’s Document Management System (DMS) for consultants and advisory committee members.

Experience: 

  • At least 2 years of experience in public health, project coordination, or related area required.

Education Requirement:

  • Master’s Degree in public health, health sciences, or equivalent required.

Salary:

  • Commensurate with education and experience
