The Public Health Project Coordinator is responsible for managing multiple public health projects for NNCC. The Coordinator assists the Public Health Project Manager with engaging funding agencies, managing AmeriCorps members, and supports the day to day activities of the program and all reporting responsibilities. Projects may include, but are not limited to: COVID Response Corps, AmeriCorps State, and VISTA program oversight, and partnership development with colleges and universities in Philadelphia for building out nursing program clinical rotations and internships. Position is located in Philadelphia. The position reports to a NNCC Public Health Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate multiple public health projects. Work with supervisor to create and manage contracts to ensure deliverables are met and program quality. Establish and purchase supplies. Potentially supervise one or more staff and interns.

Special Projects Support

  • Coordinate COVID-19 response AmeriCorps State program, in partnership with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health and Share Food Program
  • Support AmeriCorps State Program – Opioid Outreach and Education and continued funding
  • Support coordination of AmeriCorps VISTA program.
  • Develop nursing program clinical rotations and internships.

  • Excellent people skills.

Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in public health, project coordination, or related area required. AmeriCorps experience preferred. A Masters degree in public health or a related field may be substituted for one year of experience.

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred.

Salary:

  • Commensurate with education and experience. 
  • Grade 18
