The PA Action Coalition (PA-AC) Manager will be responsible for managing communications, development, and other projects as designated for the PA Action Coalition and the Pennsylvania Nurse Residency Collaborative. This individual will work with the Senior Manager and Executive Director of the PA-AC and other colleagues at NNCC to execute communications strategies including social media accounts, managing communications related to the podcast, drafting of press releases, annual reports and other written work, copy-editing, and updating the PA-AC website. Administrative tasks may include, but are not limited to, scheduling and preparing for meetings and events of the PA Action Coalition, member database management, and other tasks as necessary. The PA Action Coalition Manager is also responsible for leading at least three committees and facilitating all related meetings. The PA Action Coalition Manager will oversee the PA Action Coalition Coordinator, other part-time staff and/or interns for the PA Action Coalition. Occasional travel may be required. This position will be full-time. 

The position reports to the Senior Program Manager of the PA-AC.

Responsibilities:  

  • Design communications campaigns around projects and initiatives
  • Manage social media accounts and integrations
  • Oversee activities and communications for the Podcast
  • Maintain and manage website content in collaboration with NNCC communications
  • Draft letters, press releases, newsletters, and other materials
  • Create power point presentations
  • Manage event planning, including working with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement event timelines
  • Manage contacts and tasks tracking/task management
  • Manage invoicing for board pledges, subcontractors, the Vizient Nurse Residency program and other financial activities
  • Financial responsibilities related to the Vizient Nurse Residency program, including onboarding new hospitals, working with Vizient and external stakeholders to negotiate pricing, and overseeing the Vizient Nurse Residency Program budget.
  • Serve as the primarily liaison for all hospitals enrolled in the Vizient Nurse Residency Program
  • Oversee the work of the PA Nurse Residency Specialist
  • Supervise PA Action Coalition interns and additional staff as required
  • Represent the PA-AC at conferences and meetings
  • Contribute to NNCC infrastructure and operations

Skills and Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Proficiency editing and managing website applications
  • Demonstrated competency in database management
  • Openness to collaboration and team working environment
  • Grant writing experience
  • Ability to quickly synthesize complex issues into professional written material
  • Strong software skills in the following programs: Microsoft Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Word; Adobe Acrobat, SurveyMonkey and Mailchimp
  • Ability to travel within the united states

Experience:

  • At least two years of professional work experience, at least one year working with the Pennsylvania Action Coalition or Campaign for Action.
  • Professional experience with social media outlets including Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Experience with Smartsheets, Salesforce and Task Management systems a plus.

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Salary: 

  • Commensurate with education and experience.
