Oversees both the DUI Services and DUI Treatment Court program. DUI services processes only conviction status cases of Philadelphia residents with DUI offenses in Philadelphia.  DUI Treatment Court is a diversionary program servicing second and third time DUI offenders in need of drug and/or alcohol treatment. 


  • Gather participant information from supporting criminal justice agencies including the Philadelphia Prisons, Defender Association and Adult Probation Dept.
  • Conduct behavioral health and/or CRN assessments on offenders, bail and custody referred through Philadelphia DUI Treatment Court, DUI Services, and other Forensic Service programs.
  • Determine appropriate level of care utilizing the ASAM and participate in clinical reviews with department clinical supervisors.
  • Make appropriate referrals to Treatment Providers and coordinate funding with appropriate services.
  • Conduct evaluation updates and/ or re-evaluations as needed.
  • Appear in weekly court hearings to provide evaluation information to criminal justice partners as needed.
  • Assist the Treatment Court Coordinator with license restoration and various tasks related to both DUI Services and DUI Treatment Court as directed.
  • Must adhere to the Court’s daily work schedule and maintain appropriate records as set forth by FIR/Court system.
  • Perform other duties as needed or required by the Specialty Courts Director and clinical supervisors.   


  • Should have working knowledge of Philadelphia area Behavioral Health Provider Network and 12 Step support groups i.e., A.A. & N.A.
  • ASAM certification is required or must be obtained within 3 months of hiring.
  • Must possess or quickly obtain certification in Court Reporting Network (CRN), knowledge of DSM-V and be able to assign diagnostic codes.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be flexible.
  • Bilingual a plus


  • 3-5 years experience in chemical dependency field


  • 3-5 years combined experience and education in chemical dependency, mental health /co-occurring disorders, and/or persons with criminal justice backgrounds.
  • Direct DUI experience a plus


  • Bachelor’s degree at a minimum in the following fields: behavioral health, social work, psychology, nursing or other related area.


  • Commensurate with education and experience. 

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

  • This position is classified as salaried non-exempt in accordance to FLSA standards.
