The Communications Coordinator will support digital media including social media, marketing, website, and graphic design for the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium (NNCC). This position is responsible for supporting the CDC Vaccine Confidence project and a variety of other local, state, and national public health programming. NNCC is a non-profit, member-supported organization advancing nurse-led care. This position reports to Policy Manager.

Responsibilities:  

  • Social Media
    • Manage social media strategy for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
    • Create a social media calendar
    • Market nurse “continuing education” opportunities
    • Support the CDC COVID-19 vaccine confidence project
    • Support the Pennsylvania Action Coalition social media efforts
    • Coordinate policy and advocacy posts to advance nurse-led care
  • Graphic Design
    • Design graphics for social media and website
    • Support marketing for print and digital media
    • Use Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
  • Other Communications
    • Draft and schedule email newsletters and marketing campaigns
    • Support content updates to NURSELEDCARE.ORG
    • Support other content for the Pennsylvania Action Coalition as needed
    • Work with the Director of Public Affairs to support overall communications strategy
    • Draft and edit blog posts
    • Collaborate with NNCC and PHMC communications teams to ensure coordinated media and marketing
  • Related duties as assigned

Skills:

  • Graphic design (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop)
  • Social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
  • Joomla and HTML (website content management system)
  • SproutSocial (or other social media management software)
  • MailChimp (email marketing)
  • Writing and editing

Experience:

  • Graphic design and social media experience preferred.
  • Experience in public health or non-profit organizations preferred, but not required.

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Salary:  

  • Commensurate with education and experience.
  • Grade 18
