Responsibilities:

The team supervisor is primarily responsible for serving as the clinical leader and direct supervisor for the team of 4 to 5 YVLifeSet specialists. The team supervisor carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations’ policies and applicable laws.  The team supervisor provides clinical direction to the specialists based on the YVLifeSet model, which includes weekly management and facilitation of the group supervision process by direct case review, overseeing service plan development, and ensuring case progress. The team supervisor is on call 24/7 based on the program’s on-call schedule to support young adults and specialists during crisis situations. The supervisor may provide crisis intervention as needed. The team supervisor attends consultation and collaborates with the clinical consultant on staff development interventions. Additionally, the team supervisor ensures documentation and contractual requirements are met. The team supervisor assists with coverage for YVLifeSet specialists when needed (e.g. vacations and sick leaves), supports staff when attending court and in meetings with collateral contacts, and conduct field supervision to ensure YVLifeSet specialist competency. Additionally, the team supervisor manages the professional development of each YVLifeSet specialist by developing a plan for each specialist and holds individual supervision meetings and staff meetings. 

The team supervisor is involved in the hiring and performance management of specialists, providing support and assistance to the team, professional development and training, reviewing service receipt and documentation, planning, assigning, and directing work, and collaborating with internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in field of social work, psychology, or other directly related human services field with experience is preferred. Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 5 years of experience in social services required.
  • Candidates should demonstrate an ability to develop and manage staff, ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills.
