Job Description

The Public Health Project Coordinator is responsible for managing multiple public health projects for NNCC. The Coordinator assists the Public Health Project Manager with engaging funding agencies, managing AmeriCorps members, and supports the day to day activities of the program and all reporting responsibilities.

Projects may include, but are not limited to: AmeriCorps State and VISTA program oversight, contact tracing in Philadelphia, and opioid death certifier training with the State of Pennsylvania. Position is located in Philadelphia. The position reports to a NNCC Public Health Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate multiple public health projects. Work with supervisor to create and manage service provider contracts to ensure deliverables are met. Establish and purchase supplies. Potentially supervise one or more staff as well as interns. Ensure program quality.

Special Projects Support

  • Coordinate delivery of COVID-19 response AmeriCorps program, in partnership with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health
  • Support coordination of AmeriCorps VISTA program.
  • Assist with development of opioid death certifier training with State of Pennsylvania.

Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in public health, project coordination, or related area required. AmeriCorps experience preferred. A Masters degree in public health or a related field may be substituted for one year of experience.

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred.

Salary:

  • Temporary full time position with possibility of long-term employment dependent on funding.
