The Joseph J. Peters Institute is a nationally recognized provider serving adult survivors and perpetrators of sexual abuse seeks a partial hospital therapist to work with adult men with severe mental illness who have a history of sexual acting out behaviors. Must provide the highest quality clinical services, an maintain a full caseload. This position reports to the Program Director.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the highest quality clinical services to all participants at JJPI.
- Maintain a full caseload of clients for individual therapy, including meeting with clients, creating and updating treatment plans, completing individual client progress notes daily and providing written assessments and summaries as needed.
- Develop and maintain a caseload according to agency expectations. To complete progress notes within seven days of service.
- Attend clinical meetings and scheduled supervision and provide supervisors with audio or videotaped samples of sessions as required.
- Provide comprehensive case management services to clients and act as a liaison to other agencies as required.
- Maintain clinical records in accordance with agency, managed care, and licensing requirements.
- Seek out professional training and assist in developing training programs for other staff.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and Case Reviews.
- Maintain a full caseload for individual therapy according to agency expectations.
- Meet with clients weekly or as necessary.
- Complete individual client progress notes daily or as necessary.
- Develop treatment plan the first day of the client’s admission to the Partial Program
- Complete updated treatment plans every 30 days.
- Provide written assessments of client treatment progress for individual therapy progress for Monthly Treatment Plan Summaries, as well as any other monthly report.
- Collaborate/Consult with Program Psychiatrist and Program Therapists to ensure integration of group therapy and individual therapy treatment issues into goal plans
- Meet weekly with Partial Program Therapists to review cases and share information on client progress and therapeutic needs.
- Meet weekly with Psychiatrist to review cases and share information on client progress and therapeutic needs.
- Work effectively with other staff and contribute to the development of a team approach to treatment.
- Provide input into new programs and work to implement more effective methods of delivering services.
- Understand and communicate with other programs within the agency and work to foster a collaborative team approach across all programs.
- All other duties required performing my duties as an Individual therapist.

Experience:
- Two years’ experience as a therapist working in the field of mental health, or criminal justice. Preference for individuals who have worked with the Severely Mentally Ill (SMI) population and/or adults with sexual acting out behaviors.
Education Requirement:
- Master’s Degree in a field related to clinical work.
