Job Description

The Bridge offers a range of services designed to meet the needs of persons of all ages with addiction-related issues. The program serves adolescents from neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia, the suburban counties and the state of Delaware. The Bridge offers long- and short-term residential programs for up to 38 adolescents and outpatient counseling for children, adolescents and adults. Individualized treatment plans are created to meet clients' needs and clients have access to the comprehensive addictions, mental health, educational and life skills services provided at The Bridge.

The OP Therapist will implement the recovery process as defined by The Bridge’s program goals and philosophy.  Provide individual, group and family therapy.  This is a fee for service opportunity with flexible hours during the day and evening 4pm-7pm M-F.  No minimum caseload required.   


  • Provide individual therapy sessions at least once per week to meet BDAP service objective.
  • Participate in concurrent review process to ensure continuous funding.
  • Provide group and family therapy on an as needed basis and complete appropriate documentation.
  • Participate in supervision meetings.
  • Alert Clinical Director/Outpatient Director to any current or potential behavior/medical problems of clients.
  • Review and document client progress.
  • Work nights and weekends.


  • Knowledge of alcoholism and other addictions as well as co-occurring disorders.
  • Ability to use therapeutic skills essential to assisting clients in process of recovery.
  • Competence in individual, group therapy and family intervention.


  • Two years related experience

Education Requirement: 

  • Masters Degree in a clinical area such as clinical psychology, counseling, counseling psychology, etc.
