Job Description

The Joseph J. Peter’s Institute, a nationally recognized provider serving survivors of sexual abuse and trauma, is seeking a Certified Stewards of Children Darkness to Light (D2L) Trainer/Facilitator to join its Survivor Services program. Compensation will be hourly based on qualifications and credentials and an estimated 5 to 6 hours per week will be required. This candidate must be committed to providing the highest quality clinical services to participants in JJP’s programs. This position reports to the program manager.

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct a minimum of 5 (five) Stewards of Children trainings per month
  • Market D2L training opportunities to community partners and agencies through targeted outreach
  • Meet with potential partners to describe D2L trainings
  • Complete and submit all quality assurance documentation to program manager on a weekly basis
  • Ensure timely submission of all D2L reporting documentation to the Facilitator Dashboard portal
  • Complete and submit grant invoices by the announced deadline
  • Promote the agency in interactions with other agencies and professionals

Skills:

  • Works effectively with other staff and contributes to the team approach of treatment
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to market JJPI’s clinical and prevention training services
  • Ability to communicate in writing and orally
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, word processing, spreadsheets and database entry

 Experience:

  • Two years employment experience, which can include internship/practicum experience.

Education Requirement:

  • A Master’s Degree in a field related to clinical work from an accredited program
  • At the time of application, a completed Darkness 2 Light Stewards of Children Facilitation Certificate
