The Research & Evaluation Group at Public Health Management Corporation (R&E Group) is seeking a Full-Time Interviewer to conduct survey data collection and reporting activities, while fostering strong working relationships between the project team and participants. The Interviewer will report to a Sr. Research Scientist. The Interviewer will work onsite at one of three PHMC health centers and will perform research activities for a study on how to increase COVID-19 testing. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: recruiting health center patients into the study; administering and scheduling baseline and follow-up interviews: tracking and maintaining contact with participants; entering data into a study database; cleaning study data; and contributing to project reports. Prior experience conducting interviews or outreach with individuals from underserved populations is required; demonstrated Spanish fluency is preferred and prior experience managing and analyzing data is a plus.

  • Recruit patients who are receiving care at a PHMC health center into a study examining how to increase COVID-19 testing.
  • Obtain informed consent from study participants.
  • Administer structured interviews to study participants at multiple timepoints.
  • Collect and enter research data including participant contact information and assessment interview repsonses.
  • Coordinate/schedule participant research appointments, including follow-ups, through direct communication with participants.
  • Provide guidance on COVID-19 prevention measures and testing
  • Track, document and reconcile participant incentives.
  • Assist with data cleaning.
  • Attend and participate in all required trainings and meetings.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

At least one year professional work experience demonstrating qualities and skills necessary to handle the responsibilities listed above, including:

  • Familiarity with community-based health research or program evaluation
  • Conducting interviews and/or outreach with individuals in the community
  • Data entry and management, Excel, SPSS, and/or online survey tools (e.g., SurveyGizmo) experience preferred
  • Experience working with underserved populations a plus

Education Requirement:

  • High school degree required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
