Job Description

The part-time Data Management Assistant will work as part of the Research & Evaluation Group (R&E Group). The Assistant’s primary responsibilities will include managing the reception of client data from external public health or educational programs, and entering it into databases (such as SPSS or SurveyGizmo). This work may include cleaning, recoding, and communicating issues with data and/or submission processes to ensure accuracy.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with organizing and saving client data forms
  • Ensure external program staff are following correct submission processes and communicate any errors with them.
  • Clean and recode client data as needed, following up with service providers as necessary to resolve issues.
  • Enter client data into the electronic databases.
  • Document surveys, data entry, follow-up data due dates, and other information in a spreadsheet.
  • Communicate with R&E Group team regarding database changes and maintenance.
  • Communicate with R&E Group team regarding accuracy of data received from external organizations.

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of working with electronic survey data, required
  • Experience using Excel and SPSS, preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

  • Current graduate student.

PAY AND HOURS:

$16 per hour, 10 hours per week
