Coordinate program planning, delivery of treatment services and other related activities based on philosophy, goals and objectives of the program.
Convene and lead treatment team meetings.
Provide supervision to the all therapist (s)
Attend daily staff meetings and inform staff of any important resident data.
Implement recovery process for residents as defined by Interim House West program goals and philosophy.
Insure that the resident assistants receive up-to-date written information in the log book concerning the physical and emotional status of each resident, as needed.
Provide continuity of care as defined by treatment plan for each resident.
Lead group therapy sessions and participate in double group sessions in the absence of the therapist. Lead special topic groups such as relapse prevention, re-entry, addictions curriculum and/or conflict resolution.
In the absence of a therapist, Conduct weekly individual therapy sessions with each resident on caseload and conduct continued stay reviews with funder as needed.
Oversee admissions in the absence of Admission Coordinator.
Conduct individual therapy sessions when requested by clients or as indicated by observations.
Maintain authority for residents’ requests to leave premises.
Assert veto power when necessary to refuse pass- privileges as decided by treatment team when stability of resident is in question or indication of inappropriate plans are present.
Provide resident assistants and facility manager with accurate, detailed list of weekend passes, meeting passes and visitor list.
Establish and maintain schedules for all daily therapeutic activities.
Coordinate/collaborate with off-site, community-based mental health treatment providers.
Alert Program Director to any current or potential staffing and clinical issues including behavioral problems of residents.
Provide 24-hour on-call supervision of treatment program as needed.
Treatment Plan:
Oversee Therapist completing, with resident, within 15 days, a Comprehensive Treatment Plan based on Psychiatric Evaluation and other psychological assessments.
Oversee the updating of treatment plans every 30 days.
Collaborate with Psychiatrist on behalf of resident’s treatment planning.
Progress Report:
Maintain continuous record of all treatment team meetings, events, and resident’s progress toward accomplishment of treatment goals as stated in Treatment Plan.
Oversee and review weekly submitted treatment documentation from all staff.
Audit and Maintain charts to meet all standards of funder.
Continuing Care Plan:
Assist treatment team and residents with the information of continuing care plans 2 months prior to discharge.
Ensure therapist Complete Discharge Summary within 7 days of a resident’s discharge from treatment.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Master’s degree and 3-5 years related experience or bachelor’s degree and four years’ experience specifically related to the position.
Competence in individual, group therapy and family intervention.
Thorough knowledge of polydrug use and treatment modalities, especially crack cocaine, mental health issues and the recovery process.
Ability to use therapeutic skills essential to assisting residents in process of recovery.
Ability to serve as a role model to residents.
Supervisory experience
Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 3-5 years related experience or bachelor’s degree and four years experience specifically related to the position.
Completion of DDAP Supervision training.
Competence in individual, group therapy and family intervention.
Thorough knowledge of polysubstance use and treatment modalities, including, mental health issues and the recovery process.
Ability to use therapeutic skills essential to assisting residents in process of recovery.
